Competence in Regobs

We link competence to contributors in Regobs. Therefore, there are stars behind the user names. Here you will find an explanation of what the stars mean.

In short, no indication means that no competence is attached to the observation, and the more stars the more competence. Max is 5 stars. If nothing is given it means "Completely unknown competence".

Please note that the administration of competence is done by the system owner. This means that if you have competence that you want to be attached to your user, you notify the relevant notification group (snow, landslide/soil, ice, flood/water) and we will arrange it.

Your competence and your stars

In Regobs you will see what competence is attached to your user. If you think we should set a different competence level for you, you can send an email to us. Send to the warning service that works with your area of competence and attach links to your last 5-10 observations in Regobs.

Your competence is also shown as stars behind your user name on observations in Regobs. If the competence is changed, this will be visible from the next observation you submit.
