You can very easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Frem til torsdag var det jevnt fordelt med nysnø i alle høyder, men det har endret seg etter av vinden tok seg opp fra sørøst, torsdag.

Siste uke kom det noe nysnø 15-30 cm.

Mildvær i slutten av januar har dannet smeltepakke til ca 1000 moh.

Friday 9. February 2024

5 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as snow. Strong breeze from southeast. -17 °C to -9 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Kraftig vind fra sørøst kan flytte mye snø og danne ustabile fokksnøflak i leheng. Disse kan være svært lette å løse ut.
