Avalanche warning for region Helgeland Friday 31.05.2024

Danger level 1 - Low avalanche danger

Published:
Limited forecasts due to strike.
Generally stable conditions. Be careful in steep terrain where the snow is wet and loose. It could be possible to trigger small wet loose avalanches.
Keep a safe distance to cornices and glide cracks.

Below you can see a description of the current snow cover information and current weather forecast in the mountains. If your observations deviate greatly from what is described here, the warning will not necessarily apply either. Always make your own judgments or stay away from avalanche terrain.

Mountain weather

Thursday 30. May 2024

1-4 mm precipitation. Precipitation as rain. Breeze from southeast. 3 °C to 16 °C at 1100 m a.s.l.

Friday 31. May 2024

8 mm precipitation, up to 14 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Calm/light breeze from southwest. 3 °C to 14 °C at 1100 m a.s.l.

Avalanche risk assessment

Generelt stabile forhold.
