Natt til fredag har det kome noko nysnø i regionen. Det er kaldt og snøen legg seg heilt ned til fjorden

Det finst eit svakt lag i snødekket som vart danna under klarvær vesle julafta, laget gjev utslag på testar men overliggande snø bærer godt og har lite spenningar.

15 mm precipitation, up to 25 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 600 m a.s.l Friday night. Breeze from southwest, changing to fresh breeze from the north during the afternoon. -9 °C to 0 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Saturday 1. January 2022

3-6 mm precipitation. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l during the evening. Breeze from southeast, changing to moderate gale from the south during the afternoon. -18 °C to -6 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Sterk vind på kvelden kombinert med at det ligg ein del snø tilgjengeleg for vindtransport i terrenget vil føre til at det vert danna fersk fokksnø i leheng. Vind frå mange forskjellege retningar tidlegare i veka gjer at det no også ligg eldre fokksnø i dei fleste himmelretningar. Høge temperaturar gjer at fokksnøen vil stabilisere seg fort.
