Saturday 18. February 2023

Det har snødd og blåst over ca. 700 moh sidan fredag ettermiddag. Opp til ca. 1200 moh ligg nysnøen på skare eller smelteomdanna overflate. Høgt til fjells ligger den på harde flak av vindtransportert snø. I låglandet, opp til ca. 700 moh, er heile den gamle snøpakka smelteomdanna.

I Liabygda (318 moh) i Stranda, var det laurdag morgon -1 °C. Det hadde kome 24 mm nedbør siste døgn. Det var rolege vindforhold i regionen.

20 mm precipitation, up to 40 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 200 m a.s.l Saturday night. Strong breeze from northwest. -12 °C to -4 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Sunday 19. February 2023

4-6 mm precipitation. Rain up to 300 m a.s.l during the evening. Fresh breeze from northwest, changing to breeze from the west during the afternoon. -13 °C to -6 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Minkande nedbør og litt rolegare vind gjer at vindtransport av fersk snø minkar. Ein skiløper kan likevel lett løyse ut middels store skred der det finst dagsferske fokksnøflak. Skred er lettast å løyse ut der desse flaka er mjuke. Eldre fokksnøflak fra tidlegare i helga, vil vere meir stabile og vanskelegare å løyse ut.
