You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Torsdag og fredag er det vind fra nord og nordvest og stort sett minusgrader i regionen og 5-10 cm med nysnø. Fredag er det tidvis moderat snøfokk.

Onsdag var et forrykende lavtrykk på tur gjennom regionen. Det er svært kraftig vind, nedbør som regn og høy mildværsgrensen.

Mildværet ser ut til å ha nådd 700-800 moh.

3-6 mm precipitation. Fresh breeze from west, changing to breeze from the west during the afternoon. -7 °C to -2 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Snøbyger har gitt 10-15 cm med nysnø og vinden kan raskt danne ustabile nysnøflak i noen områder.

Snødekket som ble fuktet av mildværet mandag-onsdag vil gradvis fryse igjen og stabilisere seg. Over skoggrensen kan det ligge mindre ansamlinger av fokksnø, men disse vil trolig være vanskelig å påvirke.

Mot de aller høyeste toppene i indre strøk kan det fortsatt ligge store ansamlinger av fokksnø, men vil trolig være vanskelig å påvirke.
