Danger level 3 - Considerable avalanche danger

Published:
Conditions are dangerous. Be careful in lee areas with wind deposited snow, typically behind ridges, ribs and in gullies. Be aware of a persistant weak layer buried by windslabs.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

Monday 1. March 2021

Mountain weather

Monday 1. March 2021

12 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Moderate gale from west, changing to strong breeze from the northwest during the afternoon. -4 °C to 0 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Tuesday 2. March 2021

8 mm precipitation, up to 15 mm in the most exposed areas. Strong breeze from west. -7 °C to -2 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Advice

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Avalanche risk assessment
