Many landslide events, several with considerable consequences. Major events can reach settlements, roads and railways.
Keep away from steep slopes, as well as streams and river with large high discharge. Contingency response should be attentive that buildings, and infrastructure in general, may be exposed to severe damage.
The groundwater level and the soil water saturation are very high. The risk for slush flows is especially high in areas with more than 4050 cm of snow. The snow is rather water-saturated. Areas of fresh snow are particularly vulnerable since new snow is quickly saturated with water. Slush flow can be trigged in slight slopes where water is collected. The slush flows may often follow down streams, and can then develop into debris flows.
