Yellow level

Published: Valid: from 06.10.2023 07:00 to 07.10.2023 06:59
Next forecast before:
  • Danger ongoing: Friday early morning 6. Oct. 2023
  • Danger decrease: Saturday morning 7. Oct. 2023
  • Height: 0 - 2000 moh

Consequence

Landslides may be expected. Exposed railways and roads may be closed. Debris flows may reach the valley bottom even if they are triggered high in the terrain.

Advice

Keep away from steep slopes, as well as streams and rivers with high discharge. Keep water paths and culverts free of snow, ice, gravel, waste, twigs and leaves. Clogged waterways with dammed water may cause landslides. Keep yourself updated about the development of the weather, the landslide and flood situation, and follow the weather radar.

Description

Steep slopes, as well as streams and rivers with high discharge, are particularly exposed. Rain is expected, followed by heavy showers in some places. The amount of precipitation, or its location, is somewhat uncertain. Follow the weather radar. With the current forecast, certain parts of the region are more exposed. Details are found in the warning message in Norwegian. Groundwater and soil moisture are high. The expected rain will increase the danger of landslides.
