Consequence
Risk of flooding of low-lying areas in densely populated areas. Check varsom.no for more information. Locally difficult driving conditions, especially at waterways. Roads may be closed. Some journeys may have longer travel time. The road surface can locally be covered by wet ice. Road conditions affected with road spray and hydroplaning in some places.

Description
From late Monday morning to early Tuesday evening 70-90 mm of precipitation in a 24 hour period is expected. During the most intense period 40-50 mm precipitation in 12 hours is expected. In parts of the area the precipitation is expected to start as snow and sleet but throughout the day rain is expected in the mountains as well. Due to increasing temperature there is risk of rain freezing on the ground. Melting snow and icy roads will contribute to flooding as well.
