Consequence
Loose items may be taken by the wind. Possibly cancelled departures for ferry, plane, or other transport. Some journeys may have longer travel times. The power supply may be impacted, due to tree(s) falling over. Some roads may be closed due to trees or other objects in the road.

Secure loose objects. Close windows and doors tightly. Make sure that gutters, scaffolding, aerials and tarpaulins are securely attached. Avoid unnecessary journeys to exposed places. Description
From late Friday afternoon locally strong wind gusts around 18-22m/s are expected from south, and south gale force at the coast. Late Friday evening the wind veers southwest and decreases.
