Risk of flooding of low-lying densely populated areas. Check varsom.no for more information. Locally difficult driving conditions, especially at waterways. Roads may be closed. Many journeys may have longer travel time. Road conditions affected with road spray and hydroplaning in some places. Some places may temporarily lose the road connection, often several days.

Advice

Consider the need for preventive measures. Follow the advice of emergency authorities, both local and governmental. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors. Consider whether the journey is necessary. Check road reports (175.no). Adjust the speed and use caution while driving.

Description

Approximately 50-70 mm has been observed in inner areas of East Norway the last 24 hours. The heaviest rainfall has now moved further east and is expected to give 30-40 mm/6h in eastern parts of Innlandet and South-Troendelag during the early hours of Tuesday, possibly more locally. There is also a risk of 20 mm/1h. The rainfall will subside during Tuesday morning or noon.
