Be careful on leeward slopes with fresh wind slabs in the alpine. The danger level is low where the surface is hard and scoured.

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Det er fortsatt en del snø i terrenget, men den er ujevnt fordelt og mye bare rabber. Mildværet forrige uke har påvirket snødekket en del, og det gamle snødekket består i hovedsak av smelteformer. I ytre strøk har det kommet totalt rundt 10cm snø de siste dagene, lengre inn i landet har det kommet mindre.

7 mm precipitation, up to 12 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as snow. Fresh breeze from north. -7 °C to -5 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Thursday 4. May 2023

2-6 mm precipitation. Precipitation as snow. Fresh breeze from northwest, changing to fresh breeze from the west during the afternoon. -8 °C to -5 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Ferske fokksnøflak vil være lette å løse ut. Forholdsvis svak vind vil mest legge av snø i toppen av renner, bak rygger og kuler. Vinddreining i løpet av dagen gjør at det vil finnes ferske flak i flere himmelretninger.
