Be careful in lee areas with wind deposited snow, typically behind ridges, ribs and in gullies. Wind slabs are especially easy to trigger where they are thin or soft.
  • The danger is greatest from Sunday afternoon

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Vind fra sørøst og sør har preget regionen de siste dagene. Snøoverflata er preget av vind, fokksnøflakene er stort sett harde.
Mildvær i starten av forrige uke førte til at snødekket i ytre strøk ble smelteomdannet og generelt stabilt. I indre strøk påvirket ikke mildværet like mye.

Fredag ble det observert ferske skred ved Stabbursnes, størrelse og om naturlig utløst er ukjent.

De siste dagene er det blitt rapportert om mye snøfokk.

No precipitation. Strong breeze from south. -23 °C to -13 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Sunday 11. February 2024

1-4 mm precipitation. Precipitation as snow. Fresh breeze from northwest. -20 °C to -8 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Det har vært flere dager med vind fra sør og sørøst, kaldt vær gjør at denne fokksnøen stabiliseres sakte. Vekten av en person kan fortsatt føre til at skred løses ut.
Søndag ettermiddag vil det komme noe snø og vind fra vest og nordvest. Du kan lett løse ut skred i fersk fokksnø.
