Danger level 2 - Moderate avalanche danger

Published:
Be careful in areas with windslabs. A persistent weak layer of facets may be triggered, especially where the snow cover is thin.

Below you can see a description of the current snow cover information and current weather forecast in the mountains. If your observations deviate greatly from what is described here, the warning will not necessarily apply either. Always make your own judgments or stay away from avalanche terrain.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

Tuesday 27. February 2018

Mountain weather

Tuesday 27. February 2018

No precipitation. Moderate gale from east. -25 °C to -17 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Wednesday 28. February 2018

Little to no precipitation. Strong breeze from east. -27 °C to -20 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Advice

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Avalanche risk assessment
