You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Snødekket før lørdagens regnvær var i høyereliggende områder tynt og ujevnt fordelt, med mest snø i leområder mot S og Ø. Lite eller ingen snø i lavlandet.

100 mm precipitation, up to 130 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Moderate gale from west, changing to strong gale from the northwest during the afternoon. -6 °C to 3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Sunday 30. January 2022

4-6 mm precipitation. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l Sunday night. Gale from northwest, changing to breeze from the southeast during the afternoon. -12 °C to -3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Det vil legge seg opp ustabile fokksnøflak i leområder mot S og Ø over tregrensa tidlig på dagen.
Mens været står på vil det i noen heng være lett å løse ut skred.
Når været roer seg antas fokksnøen å stabilisere seg forholdsvis raskt, men vær forsiktig i områder med fersk fokksnø.

Det er en viss mulighet for at det kan gå et og annet vått flakskred mellom ca 700-1100 moh. Våte skred er uforutsigbare og kan gå selv etter været har blitt kaldere.
