You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

Mandag består snøoverflaten de fleste steder av vindpåvirket snø av ulik hardhet der det ligger nysnø, etter svært kraftig vind sist søndag. Ellers avblåst barmark eller gammel skare. Det er generelt lite snø under 1000-1100 moh.

Det er få nye observasjoner i regionen pga lite snø.

30 mm precipitation, up to 50 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 700 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Fresh breeze from south, changing to moderate gale from the northwest during the afternoon. -8 °C to -2 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Wednesday 2. February 2022

4-8 mm precipitation. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Strong breeze from northwest. -8 °C to -3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Nysnø og vind fra NV gir små ustabile fokksnøflak. Eldre fokksnø stabiliserer seg gradvis, men i enkelte heng kan en skiløper fortsatt løse ut store skred. Leheng vendt mot Ø og S i områder som har fått mest nysnø er mest utsatt.
