Danger level 3 - Considerable avalanche danger

Wet, naturally released avalanches are likely. Warm temperatures and rain is expected well into the alpine. Newly formed wind slabs can be triggered in the high alpine.

Avalanches may release spontaneously on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

De siste dagene har vært preget av mildvær og mye nedbør.
Over 500-700 moh, der nedbøren har kommet som snø, er det nå betydelig ansamling av fokksnø i leområder.

Vindutsatte områder er avblåst.

Det er tidligere observert kantkorn i snødekket, men laget er trolig ikke mulig å påvirke på grunn av sterke, overliggende lag.

5 mm precipitation, up to 12 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 600 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Strong breeze from southeast, changing to strong breeze from the southwest during the afternoon. -8 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Skredfaren øker i takt med mildværets ankomst. Det ventes naturlig utløste våte flakskred der regnet treffer tørt snødekke.
Over mildværsgrensen vil det danne seg ustabile fokksnøflak i leområder. Disse kan være lette å løse ut.
