Avalanche Danger Assessment
• Nice spring skiing in most parts of the region today. Not much avalanche activity in warming slopes today, but it might be slightly warmer tomorrow. From mid mountain and down, under the suncrust, the snow is warm and wet in many places, so don’t go skiing too late in sunny aspects. Keep track of the warming and avoid cornices and glide cracks.
• There has been observed well developed surface hoar at Fugldalsfjellet in northern and western exposure above 800 masl. If this stays intact, it might become a weak layer under fresh snow later in the week. • The strategic mindset is “Spring diurnal”. Get your timing right.
