You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Det har smelta godt og snøgrensa kryper stadig oppover. I ytre strøk og under 800-1000 moh. er det generelt lite/ ikke snø. Høyt til fjells i indre strøk av regionen kan en fortsatt finne sammenhengende skiføre noen steder, og da i øst- og nordvendte terrengformasjoner. Snødekket har sunket sammen og har ingen eller lite lagdeling og er sammensatt av storkorna smelteformer.

No precipitation. Calm/light breeze from south, changing to fresh breeze from the south during the evening. 2 °C to 11 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Clear skies.

Tuesday 29. May 2018

6 mm precipitation, up to 15 mm in the most exposed areas. Strong breeze from southwest, changing to fresh breeze from the west during the evening. -2 °C to 6 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Nedbør som regn vil føre til fare for naturlig utløste våte snøskred. Snødekket har vært fuktet tidligere og vurderes til å drenere vann relativt godt. Faren er derfor størst når nedbøren står på. Temperatursvingning gjennom døgnet vil også være med på å styre når faren er størst for våte skred.
