Avalanche warning for region Rogalandskysten Tuesday 05.12.2017

Danger level 4 - High avalanche danger

Rising temperatures, wind and heavy precipitation will lead to increased avalanche hazard in northeastern part of Rogaland. Stay away from all avalanche terrain. Some roads might be vulnerable.

Avalanche risk assessment

Svært store nedbørmengder kombinert med kraftig vind bidrar til å øke snøskredfaren til grad 4 - stor i den nordøstlige delen av Rogaland. Naturlig utløste middels store skred (str. 3) må forventes under mildværsgrensa i alle himmelretninger og i leområder høyere opp. All ferdsel i og i nærheten av skredterreng frarådes.

Varselet er basert på et enklere datagrunnlag enn regionale varsler og utgis kun for faregrad 4 og 5.
