You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

På overflata ligg det opp til 10-15 cm laussnø, med store variasjonar. I vindutsett lende; typisk toppar og ryggar er det avblåst og isete. Kalde netter har gitt gode vekstvilkår for overflaterim og kantkorn. Sola tek i sydsider og det har gått fleire glideskred og våte laussnøskred i bratt terreng.
Det eldre snødekket er prega av kraftig vind frå SØ sist veke med hardpakka fokksnø.

Avalanche risk assessment

Vind med aukande styrke utover dagen frå aust vil transportere snø som framleis ligg ubunden inn i N-V-S-vendte leformasjonar. Her vil det kunne byggje seg opp mindre fokksnøflak.
Det er svakt lag av kantkorn djupt i snødekket, men dette vil krevje stor tilleggsbelastning for å kunne påvirkast.
