Avalanches may release spontaneously on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

Gjennomfuktet snø opp til 5- 600 moh. Over dette litt nysnø over et bærende og hardt snødekke.

Det er litt kantkornutvikling rundt skare fra mildvær i desember, men ikke et skredproblem.

15 mm precipitation, up to 22 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 300 m a.s.l Sunday night. Breeze from northwest. -12 °C to -4 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Snøbyger og vind fra nordvest fortsetter pålagring av snø i leheng og opprettholder faren for naturlig utløste skred første del av dagen. Mest utsatt er høytliggende leområder mot sør og øst. Her kan det være store snømengder og skred kan bli store.
Selv om været roer seg utover dagen vil ferske nysnøflak trenge tid for å stabilisere seg og det kan være svært lett å løse ut skred der flakene er ferske.
Bygesituasjon gir usikkerhet i prognosene og kan gi store lokale forskjeller i hvor mye nedbør som kommer.
