Generally stable conditions, but be careful in steep terrain, especially where wind deposited slabs are thin or soft, a slab avalanche is easier to trigger here.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snøoverflata er påvirket av mildvær og regn de siste dagene opp til minst 1100 moh. I lavlandet er gjenværende snø våt. På de alle høyeste toppene finnes det trolig tørrsnø som er preget av vind.

Det er tidligere blitt observert flere lag med kantkorn i snødekket. Det antas at siste dagers mildvær og regn har nøytralisert disse vedvarende svake lagene der hvor de har ligget høyt i snødekket.
Men høyt til fjells, hvor nedbøren har kommet som snø er det mulig at de fremdeles er intakte.

5 mm precipitation, up to 10 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l Sunday night. Strong breeze from southwest, changing to fresh breeze from the northwest during renoon. -7 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Monday 15. April 2024

1-3 mm precipitation. Rain up to 100 m a.s.l Monday night. Breeze from north. -9 °C to -4 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Det gamle snødekket stabiliseres ytterligere med lave temperaturer og lite ny nedbør. Skredproblemet finnes hovedsakelig høyt til fjells der det ligger ferske fokksnøflak fra de siste dager. Hvis sola kommer frem, vil nysnøen bli våt og en skiløper kan løse ut små løssnøskred.
