Below you can see a description of the current snow cover information and current weather forecast in the mountains. If your observations deviate greatly from what is described here, the warning will not necessarily apply either. Always make your own judgments or stay away from avalanche terrain.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

Thursday 29. December 2022

Mountain weather

Thursday 29. December 2022

1-5 mm precipitation. Rain up to 100 m a.s.l Thursday night. Breeze from south, changing to moderate gale from the southeast during the afternoon. -12 °C to -3 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Friday 30. December 2022

Little to no precipitation. Moderate gale from southeast, changing to strong breeze from the southeast during the afternoon. -9 °C to -2 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Advice

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Avalanche risk assessment
