You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Snødekket er variert etter svært skiftende vær, med mye vind og nedbør som både regn og snø, og store svingninger i temperatur. Det er mest snø i østvendte formasjoner. Kun høyt til fjells er snødekket til en viss grad tørt, og ellers i varierende grad vått etter mildvær og regn.

Det er ingen observasjoner av nedføyket overflaterim den siste tiden.
