Natt til fredag har det kommet 5-10 cm nysnø. I løpet av tirsdag og onsdag kom det mye snø i fjellet i kombinasjon med kraftig vind fra sørøst og sørvest.
Det var kraftig mildvær natt til søndag som fuktet snødekket opp til 1100 moh. Siden har nysnøgrensa sunket ned mot 600 moh.
Det ligger mye tørr løssnø på skjermede plasser.

Det finnes svake lag av kantkorn rundt skarelag og ved bakken, som tidligere har gitt observasjoner på drønn og skytende sprekker. Utbredelsen på dette laget er nå noe usikkert.

Onsdag er det meldt om flere små naturlig utløste skred i regionen.

10 mm precipitation, up to 15 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 500 m a.s.l during the afternoon. Breeze from northwest, changing to fresh breeze from the northwest during the evening. -8 °C to -2 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Saturday 14. January 2023

8 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 400 m a.s.l Saturday night. Breeze from east, changing to moderate gale from the east during the evening. -11 °C to -4 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Lørdag ettermiddag og kveld ventes det sterk vind og store snømengder i sørlige del av regionen. Det vil dannes ustabile fokksnøflak i vestvendte heng og store skred kan gå naturlig.

Vær også oppmerksom på vedvarende svakt lag med kantkorn ved bakken som det kan være mulig å påvirke der snødekket er tynt.
