Locally unstable conditions. A skier or a snow mobile may trigger avalanches in the fresh wind slabs, while persistent weak layers deeper in the snow in general is hard to trigger.

Wind drifted snow (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Persistent weak layer (slab avalanches)

You can trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3). Remote triggering is possible.

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

De siste dagene har vinden jobbet godt med snødekket og flyttet snø inn i nordøstvendte heng. På topper og andre utsatte steder er det generelt avblåst. I lesider har det lagt seg hardt vindpakket snø.

Dypere i snødekket finnes det vedvarende svake lag. Det er både nedføyket kantkornlag, samt kantkornlag dannet rundt skare. Observasjoner som drønn og stabilitetstester viser at disse kan påvirkes og dette er lettest i indre deler av regionen.

Tirsdag er det observert moderat snøfokk i regionen.
