Wet avlanches can occur in the mild weather. In the evening strong winds and temperature fall and snow will casue some wind slabs.

Wet snow (loose snow avalanches)

Avalanches may release spontaneously on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Wet snow (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

New snow (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Mildver siste dager har gjort snøoverflata fuktig eller våt høyt til fjells.

I overgangen mellom gammel fuktig snø og snø fra siste to uker har det dannet seg et skarelag. Høy temperaturgradient gjør at det lokalt har dannet seg kantkorn rundt dette. Utviklingen og egenskapene virker å variere, og enkelte steder kan det påvirkes, men de fleste steder er korna små eller ikke utviklet nok til å utgjøre et skredproblem.

5 mm precipitation, up to 10 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Moderate gale from south, changing to gale from the southwest during the afternoon. -3 °C to 3 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.
