You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Ytre strøk fikk en del snø mandag, som la seg på hard gjenfrosset mildværsskare. Onsdag og torsdag var det kraftig vind fra sør som nok har flyttet det meste av løs snø til harde fokksnøflak i leområder.

Onsdag ettermiddag gikk det et skred på veg ved Skarvbergtunnelen.

2-4 mm precipitation. Precipitation as snow. Gale from south, changing to moderate gale from the south during the evening. -16 °C to -9 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Friday 24. February 2023

2 mm precipitation, up to 7 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as snow. Fresh breeze from west. -15 °C to -6 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Fokksnøflak fra onsdag/torsdag vil gradvis stabilisere seg, men enkelte steder kan det fortsatt være lett å løse ut skred for en skikjører eller scooterfører. Litt nysnø og vind kan også gi nye små fokksnøflak i leområder. Skred vil hovedsakelig være små, men enkelte middels store skred kan ikke utelukkes.
