You can trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

Mildværet i helgen ventes å ha satt sine spor. Snøoverflaten er fuktet høyt til fjells.

Over mildværsgrensen ventes snøoverflaten er å være vindpreget og hard. Snøfordelingen i terrenget er trolig ujevn.

Søndag er det observasjoner av mindre naturlig utløste skred.

Det har tidligere vært observert spredt utbredelse av både overflaterim og kantkorn. Mildværet ventes i stor grad å ha tatt knekken på disse lagene.

6 mm precipitation, up to 15 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 700 m a.s.l Sunday night. Moderate gale from southwest, changing to gale from the southwest during the afternoon. -5 °C to 0 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Monday 28. February 2022

4-6 mm precipitation. Rain up to 600 m a.s.l during the evening. Fresh breeze from southwest, changing to fresh breeze from the south during renoon. -7 °C to -1 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Skredfaren vil nå være høyest i høyfjellet. Det har vært beskjedne nysnømengder og gunstige temperaturer i helgen så fokksnøen ventes å stabiliserer seg svært raskt. Litt nysnø i løpet av dagen ventes ikke å gi utslag.

Der snødekket ble fuktet/vått vil skredfaren avta svært raskt og sannsynlighet for skred liten.
