Avalanche warning for region Helgeland Tuesday 06.12.2022

Strong winter weather from the northwest increases the risk of avalanches. In areas that receive fresh snow and wind, naturally triggered avalanches may occur.

Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Det har blitt observert store rimkrystallar på bakken og snøoverflata.

21 mm precipitation, up to 40 mm in the most exposed areas. Rain up to 600 m a.s.l Monday night. Fresh breeze from southwest, changing to moderate gale from the northwest during the evening. -5 °C to -2 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Tuesday 6. December 2022

8 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as snow. Strong breeze from northwest, changing to breeze from the southeast during the evening. -12 °C to -4 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Kraftig vintervær fra nordvest øker skredfaren. I områder som får nysnø og vind vil det kunne gå naturlig utløste skred når været står på som verst.
Det er fortsatt svært begrenset med snø.
