Generally stable conditions, with avalanche danger fluctuating throughout the day. Wet loose snow avalanches can be triggered in steep, south-facking terrain. Keep good distance to cornices.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snødekket består av variert gammel snø. I lavlandet er snøen fuktig/våt og i kystnære strøk er det bart opp til ca 250-300 moh. I fjellet kan det være hard fokksnø, avblåst til gamle skarelag eller våt løssnø. Observasjoner viser at snødekket er isotermt opp til 600 moh.

I skyggefullt terreng over 900-1000 moh kan det være at det fremdeles er et aktivt svakt lag av kantkorn i snødekket, men i vest- og sørvendte helninger er dette laget fuktet, avrundet og stabilt.

Avalanche risk assessment

Generelt stabile forhold og liten skredfare. I bratt terreng hvor solen tar kan det være mulig å løse ut våte løssnøskred. Klarvær på natten gir gjenfrysing og hard skare. For ferdsel i fjellet er timing viktig for å få trygg snø og godt skiføre. Hold god avstand til skavler som svekkes i mildværet.
