You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Det har vore høge temperaturar i fjellet, men vind og klårvêr har tørka ut snødekket over 800 moh. I høgda består snøoverflata stort sett av skibærande eller brytande skare, men ho blir litt mjukare i soleksponerte sider ut over dagen.
Lågare i fjellet er snøen meir varmepåvirka og i ferd med å bli grovkorna. Den eldre snøen er i hovudsak stabilisert. Ryggar og toppar er avblåst, harde og isete.

Det er kantkorn i snødekket i høgda, men det er ikkje meldt som eit aktivt skredproblem.

Avalanche risk assessment

Nattefrost og vind frå nordaust vil kjøle ned snødekket, men i soleksponerte fjellsider vil ein i løpet av dagen kunne forvente mindre våte laussnøskred.

Vekslande temperatur med klårveir og utstråling som gir nattefrost og høge temperaturar om dagen virkar stabiliserande for snødekket, og gir ein gradvis overgang til grovkorna snø.
