Snøoverflata ber preg av kraftig vind frå tidlig på nyåret. Det er mest harde fokksnøflak i leheng og avblåst ned til skare og bart fjell på vindutsette stader.

Det er kantkorn rundt skarelag frå mildvær i desember.
Dette er mest aktuelt i indre strôk av regionen.

Avalanche risk assessment

I fjellet er det stort sett hardt og berande snødekke. Det er avblåst til bart fjell eller skare mange stader. Generelt stabile forhold.

Dersom mildværet kjem inn vil det gje eit litt mjukare snødekke og gradvis ta spenning ut av snøflaka og stoppe utviklinga av svake lag.

Svake lag av kantkorn kan bli påverka i skjerma små botnar over mildværsgrensa.
