The avalanche danger varies during the day. The danger is at its highest in steep sun exposed slopes and in the afternoon when the air temperature is high.

Det kom en del nysnø i regionen i løpet av sist helg og nysnøgrensen gikk 300 moh. De siste dagene er nysnøen og deler av snødekket opp til 500 – 600 moh fuktet opp av solen. Fra skoggrensa og oppover veksler overflata mellom myke fokksnøflak, en del ubunden nysnø i vindskjermede formasjoner og avblåst skare.

Det er generelt mye snø på fjellet. Det har mange steder dannet seg store skavler.

Avalanche risk assessment

Klarvær gjør at snødekket fryser til på natten. Sol og økende varme gjennom dagen myker opp og gir smeltevann i snødekket. Dette vil hope seg opp og gi skredaktivitet, både naturlig utløste våte løssnøskred og flakskred/glideskred.

Det er mye snø og store skavler i fjellet. Høye temperaturer og solskinn vil svekke skavlene ytterligere. Hold avstand.
