Some naturally released avalanches are possible. Recently loaded slopes in the alpine could easily be triggered by a single skier.

Avalanche problems

Wet snow (slab avalanches)

Avalanches may release spontaneously on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Water pooling in/above snow layers

Wind drifted snow (slab avalanches)

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Buried weak layer of new snow

Below you can see a description of the current snow cover information and current weather forecast in the mountains. If your observations deviate greatly from what is described here, the warning will not necessarily apply either. Always make your own judgments or stay away from avalanche terrain.

Torsdag er det igjen mildvær og regn i regionen. Snødekket blir fuktet høyt til fjells. Torsdag er det 0 grader på 1000 moh.

Det gamle snødekket er gjennomfuktet og stabilt, helt til de høyeste fjelltoppene.

Første del av uken var det stor skredaktivitet. Svært mange små våte skred, men også tørre flak løsnet.

5 mm precipitation, up to 10 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Fresh breeze from south. -1 °C to 4 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.
