Incident
• No one buried, but close call • Backcountry skiing • Group of 6 skiers dropping into the steep part of the transition between the upper plateau and the lower part of Foxfonna, skiing without keeping large distance. The three skiers going first trigger avalanche in the steepest part of the slope. One skis out, two get caught in the avalanche. No burial or injury occurs, both can continue unharmed. The remaining three skiers stop above the crown fracture to observe what happens, then ski down in the avalanche path after seeing that no one is buried.
Total group size: 18. The remaining 12 people weren't involved and skied down in a less steep section of the slope.
