Avalanches can be easy to trigger in newly deposited windslabs. Persistent weak layers might be present underneath the wind slabs.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1) Remote triggering is possible.

Fredag kom det ca. 7 cm nysnø. Dette la seg på ei snøoverflate som veksla mellom skare, hard fokksnø og tynn solskare. I ettertid var det sterk vind etterfulgt av roligare vêr.

Under skare er det kantkorn som kan påverkast no når det er meir snø over. Djupare kantkornlag er låst under tjukkare skarelag.

Skred er mogleg å løyse ut i fersk fokksnø. Fokksnøflak kan finnast i fleire himmelretningar, sidan vindretninga har variert. Stadvis kan fokksnøflaka ha lagt seg over vedvarande svake lag som gjer dei lettare å løyse ut.
