Be careful in areas with wind deposited snow. There is also a persistent weak layer buried in the snow pack above 800 masl.

Persistent weak layer (slab avalanches)

You can trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

I helgen kom det en del nysnø. Etter dette har først mildvær, og nå kaldere vær påvirket snøoverflaten. Noen steder har snøoverflaten fryst til skare.

Det finnes et vedvarende svakt lag av kantkorn under skare høyt i snødekket.

6-10 mm precipitation. Rain up to 1200 m a.s.l Thursday night. Strong breeze from southeast, changing to breeze from the west during the afternoon. -7 °C to 0 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Oppdatert onsdag kl 21: Fersk observasjon viser at det finnes et vedvarende svakt lag av kantkorn under skare som ikke opprinnelig varsel hadde med.

Du kan løse ut skred på et vedvarende svakt lag av kantkorn som ligger under skare. Generelt skal det stor tilleggsbelastning til for for å løse ut skred, men skred som løsner kan bli store.
Det er meldt litt nedbør som kan føre til at det legger seg noen små fokksnøflak i fjellet.
