Generally stable conditions, but be careful in steep terrain, especially where wind deposited slabs are thin or soft, a slab avalanche is easier to trigger here.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

2-4 mm precipitation. Strong breeze from southeast, changing to fresh breeze from the south during the afternoon. -5 °C to -1 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Friday 18. December 2020

1-3 mm precipitation. Strong breeze from south. -5 °C to 1 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Kraftig vind og litt nedbør vil fortsatt kunne gi noe snøtransport og ferske flakdannelser i høyden. På utsatte plasser vil en skiløper kunne løse ut små skred. Typisk bak rygger og i inngang til renner ol. Mest utsatt er terreng som samler snø mot nord og nordvest.
Stigende temperatur utover kvelden vil gi en kortvarig svekkelse av myke fokksnøflak.
Ellers mye hard snøoverflate og generelt stabile forhold.
