Persistent weak layer (slab avalanches)

You can very easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1) Remote triggering is possible.

Det er lite snø i regionen. Ved havnivå er det bart og det varierer kor høgt ein må for å finne samanhengane snø. Generelt er dette frå ca. 400 moh, men det er framleis tynt snødekke og oppstikkande stein høgare i fjellet.
Mykje av snøen som finst er smelteomdanna og hard, men mot høgda er det litt laus snø av overflatekantkorn. Isolerte stadar kan det vere litt fokksnø. Både bakken og snøoverflata er dekka av rim.

Det er generelt stabile tilhøve. Dei få stadane det samlar seg fokksnø, t.d. i renner og søkk høgt til fjells, kan det vere mogleg å løyse ut skred, men dei vil i tilfelle bli små. Pass opp for stein om du ferdast på ski.
