Wet loose avalanches are the biggest problem, the danger increases when the rain sets in. Avoid areas under glide cracks. Lower avalanche danger below treeline.

Wet snow (loose snow avalanches)

Avalanches may release spontaneously on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Varmen den siste tiden har smeltet frem rygger og rabber, og snødekket består nå av smelteformer. I leheng mot øst ligger det flere meter snø. Snøgrensa ligger på ca 600 moh, høyere i bratte sørvendte heng. For å finne lagdelt snø må man godt over skoggrensen.
